Dave
Beemon is a digital film maker and director of d.c.beemon design,
a graphic design studio. He is an author, painter, jazz drummer and rock
guitarist.
He studied art and journalism at the University of Michigan, Computer Graphics Production at the Rhode Island School of Design and recieved an MA in Creative Writing at Boston University under the guidance of Leslie Epstein. He has taught graphic design and Quark at the Clark University Computer Career Institute. He has been published in numerous magazines and fiction journals. He has worked for a variety of magazines and corporations in the Boston area. Dave plays the drums and trombone for Free Range, an improvisational quartet. He was drummer for the Bloody Young Idiots in the early 90's, lead singer and guitar player for the Flamingo Motel in the Seventies. Dave's studio is located in Medford, Massachusetts. He would be happy to talk with you about projects of any kind. He is currently working on a web site for the performance artist and actress, Sadie Lune(San Francisco), and has several projects under construction in digital video. He is currently in production of a promotional DVD for the Improbable Players and also the local folk artist, Owen Plant.
